A poem for God probably deserved first post honors. Oh well, at least I know I’m forgiven. This poem tries to view the birth of Christ from heaven’s perspective, the rending of the Trinity.

I like the shape of this. Everything coming to a point in the center. AND, I like that you took us to the cross, but from the point of view of the grieving parents of Jesus. (If I’m reading this right)

I was imagining the Father and the Holy Spirit grieving at the incarnation. Life for us meant death for them; Emanuel (God with us) meant separation (albeit temporary) in heaven; cause for rejoicing for us meant grief there, at least in my imagining, for a time.

“All in All/Most. ” I love that pun so much.
All in almost. It’s a phrase that has hope and yearning and promise all mixed up together.
